Welcome

Welcome to my first blog post on my new "re-branded" me! A huge THANK YOU to Linda from My Fairy Blog Mother (how cute is that name?!) for all her help, design and patience. If you are looking to set up a blog she is wonderful to work with and I can't recommend her enough.

A favorite of many Stampin' Up! enthusiasts, including myself, is the Buffalo Check stamp set from the 2018 Holiday catalog.

This is a background stamp which can be used to create paper to be used in multiple ways: backgrounds, edging peeking out from a card front, die cut accents and word letters. I used the Dashing Deer framelits to die cut a black plaid deer.  But think of all the color possibilities! Red deers? Cream on white deers? How about Garden Green deers?

The background was done with copper embossing powder using the Star of Light swirl stamp. The background was ink blended, very softly, with Mint Macaron using a Stampin Sponge cut into a wedge. The stars were cut from the Joyous Noel Copper Glimmer Paper - some of the prettiest paper you will ever see!

I hope you enjoyed this card, see some creative possibilities and give Stampin' Up! products a try. You won't be disappointed.

NC Demos Blog Hop

Welcome to my first post in the NC Demos Blog Hop! The theme for October is "Take 3" - use a stamp/bundle in three different ways. I hope you enjoy the hop and can get some  inspiration from us!

I choose Apron Builder Framelits to create three different projects:

Apron Builder Framelits Dies
Price: $29.00

The first were favors I made for one of my monthly workshops:

I use the apron framelit and apron neck strap and die cut 2 out of Basic Black cardstock for each favor. I stamped and white heat embossed the sentiment from the "Love What You Do" stamp set and the Stampin' Up! logo. Finally they were embellished with a small flower, pearl center and a die cut scissor again from the Apron Builder framelit set. The aprons were glued front and back to a small box made from 6" X 3" Basic Black Paper. Fun and a perfect reminder of what we love to do!

Next was a Christmas Card using the apron, apron neck strap and oven mitt framelits, but this time but from Designer Series Paper.  Fun card and easy to mass produce!

Lastly, I made a Christmas tag, again using the oven mitt framelit for the back of the tag. the same Designer Series Paper was used along with the Tag Topper Scalloped Punch.

Thank you for "hopping" along and here is a list of all participants. Please be sure to check out their amazing work! We love what we do!

Kylie Bertucci's International Blog Highlight October 2018

Welcome to Kylie Bertucci's International Blog Highlight October 2018! This is my first time joining in on the challenge and I am very excited to be a part of this group! The theme is "Sorry".

When I think of sorrow or being sorry I think of somber colors. I decided to use black and white with copper. For the black and white I used Stampin' Up's "Pick a Pattern" #144166 washi tape. There are 5 rolls with 5 different sizes, but when put together they create an interesting background. Since they are a very good quality washi they adhere to a card base without any problems.

Since the lower half of the card was fairly busy, I wanted the focal point and the balance of the card to be clean and simple. I used Copper Glimmer Paper #147817 from the 2018 Holiday Catalog and used Copper Embossing Power #141636 for the sentiment. The sentiment and tree die cut is from the "Rooted In Nature" Bundle #148353.
