Hi all! Greetings from North Carolina! We have had a beautiful sunny weekend. North Carolina's version of Indian Summer. After a fun weekend camping in our RV, I wanted to put together my card for the current Colour Inkspiration Challenge.
I wanted to post the group description of this fun Facebook Group:
"This group is for Stampin' Up! ® enthusiasts who love to share their paper craft projects using the Pinterest inspired colour combinations provided.
Every second and fourth Wednesday of the month at 7 pm (AEDT) a new colour swatch is uploaded to this Facebook Group and the Colour INKspiration Crew (consisting of 25 Aussie and NZ demos) will get the ball rolling by providing inspiration for each challenge with a blog hop."
I watercolored the background with all five of the colors. The picture below shows how I tape the watercolor paper to an acrylic sheet. I knew I wanted a base and also paper colored to use with die cuts. A drop or two of the reinker color was dropped into the corresponding ink pad. I also create a test strip on watercolor paper before beginning to see how the colors work when wet.
Once the paper dried, I cut out the paper shown on the right into various bits and pieces with the Flourish Thinlits and Swirly Scribbles Thinlits. Wasn't clear yet which pieces I would use.
Played with the layout and decided I like the 3 florals die cuts on the card. Embossed the sentiment with gold embossing power and added some gold glimmer paper touches. Hope you enjoy!
