Kylie's International Blog Highlight November 2018

Welcome to Kylie Bertucci International BlogHighlight for Nov. 2018! We are celebrating Stampin' Up!® 30th Year in November so we were challenged to say THANK YOU to Shelli Gardner, the founder, and tell her what Stampin' Up!® has meant to us. Without her determination and hard work to keep this company going none of us would have met one another, been inspired to do more and fulfilled so many awesome things.

For me, Stampin' Up®! has given me a renewed interest in creating, painting and sharing the joy of working with paper. It has been wonderful working with and being inspired by people all over the world which never would have happened without Stampin' Up!®

To create my thank you card, I choose to use the Crafting Forever stamp set. As a decorative painter, I love to paint and use the re-inkers as a watercolor paint. The Stampin' Up!® watercolor paper works beautifully with a wet-on-wet technique. Stamp the design with Stazon ink. Next, wet the area you wish to paint with a light coating of water , Finally, using a wet paint brush pick up a very small bit of reinker and lay it into the water. Last tip: Always leave some white space...Magic!

I did repeat stamping with Sahara Sand and the beautifully scripted "Thank You" from the Kindness & Compassion stamp set for the background. The hearts are cut out (& punched) of the copper Joyous Glimmer Paper. In person, it is such a beautiful color.
