Kylie's Demonstrator Training Blog Hop December 2018

Hi all! Thank you for joining us at Kylie's Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Training Blog Hop for December! Can you believe the year is almost over?! The older I get, the faster time goes.
On Black Friday I had a couple of friends join me and we created cards with shaving cream. Fun, old school technique which we updated with a more modern twist.

Be prewarned! This is a messy technique!
To create these cards we used a styrofoam plate with a mound of shaving cream in which we dripped several drops of re-inkers into it: Bermuda Bay, Lemon Lime Twist and Daffodil Delight. Swirled the drops through the shaving cream with a pallete knife.

I cut a piece of 8 1/2" X 11"Whisper White thick cardstock into fourths. I took a piece and skimmed it across the plate of shaving cream. You can use your pallete knife to smooth out flat. See the top 2 left pictures below. For the card I am submitting today, I used the medallion stencil from the Pattern Party Decorative Masks. I skimmed the shaving cream diagonally across the stencil and then sprinkled glitter on it. The shaving cream doesn't adhere the glitter totally, but enough remains to give a nice shine.
Other option - use the negative from the die cuts of thinlits like a stencil and run shaving cream over it. See the Rooted in Nature tree and leaves.
Hope you give this technique a try. You can easily get carried away!
Please continue with the hop. Here are all the "hoppers"!
