Today I have a second entry for the CAS Mix Up January Challenge - the theme of Bokeh.
Green is my favorite color and although I wasn't going for a St. Patrick's Day theme, these colors would be perfect for that holiday! Granny Apple Green, Call Me Clover and Lemon Lime Twist are ink blended on Whisper White Thick with a Stampin' sponge. The blending can be rough because the bokeh technique will go right over the top of the green.
To do the bokeh, I created a balloon stencil by punching the Balloon Bouquet Punch in a window sheet and also die cutting the small balloon shape from the Candles and Confetti Framelit Die in the same window sheet. Use a sponge dauber, I rubbed Whisper White Craft Ink through the stencil onto the green. The idea is to vary the intensity, size and overlap the location.
From one A2 card front, I was able to finish 2 cards. One with a side panel and one with a pieced side panel. All pieces were popped up with fun foam to keep the layers level, but Stampin' dimensionals could be used as well. The sentiment is from the "Lemon Zest" stamp set and I think all in all it would make a great masculine birthday card! (Especially if that birthday was around March 17th!)
I appreciate you staying with me to the end. To purchase any of the items please click on the links below:

Welcome
I am a wife of 48 years married to my best friend, Mike. He has always been my biggest supporter. We have 3 beautiful daughters and 2 wonderful grandchildren. Also, I am a college graduate, still working full time, and trying to squeeze in every crafting moment possible. Working with my hands, whether it is papercrafting, stamping, painting, cross-stitching, zentangling or quilting - brings joy to my life. I love color in all its various forms.

Gorgeous citrus green Bokeh cards, Anita! I love that you made your own balloon stencil and used it for this technique. The black sentiment strip is a great color contrast, and the breaking the Bokeh panel (second card) adds interest to the design. Thanks again for sharing with us at CAS Mix Up!
