Hi all! Welcome to Kylie Bertucci's training group blog hop for January 2019. We are a group of Stampin' Up! demonstrators working with Kylie from Australia to learn more about how to run a successful business. Kylie is infectious and together with her husband, Bruno, very inspiring.
There was no theme, but I continued with the theme for her International Blog Hop (see my blog post of Jan. 7, 2019) of encouragement. To create these cards I thought of what stamps I had which showed difficult tasks. Yesterday's blog was the kitty tangled in yarn ("Pretty Kitty"). Today's post will be a pig flying! Both, very difficult, I am sure.
To create the focal point of the card, I did the following steps:
1) Stamp the flying pig with Memento Black Ink (ink to be used with alcohol markers) on Shimmery White paper;
2) Stamp the flying pig again on a full adhesive masking paper such as Post-It-Note and cut out;
3) Color the image on the Shimmery White paper with Stamp n' Blends alcohol markers - pinks and Wink of Stella for the wings;
4) With the mask over the image ink blend with a Stampin' Sponge with Pool Party ink pad;
5) Using the clouds from the Pattern Party Mask set, blot with a wet blue shop towel or paper towel until some of the color is removed to create the soft clouds;
6) Lastly, cut out with a Layering Square Framelit on the Big Shot.
The background of Mango Melody Designer Series Paper was cut using the new Rectangle Framelits. I also ran the top of the Tranquil Tide flag through the Rectangle Framelit to apply the stitches and the Banner Triple Punch for the flag end. A few of the silver Metallics Sequins assortment were added with Tombow Liquid Adhesive.
