Kylie's International Blog Highlight January 2019

Welcome to my blog post for Kylie Bertucci's International Blog Highlight for January 2019.
The theme was encouragement. I thought of my grand-daughter who just finished her first semester of graduate school and obtained straight As! Seeing this little kitty trying to get out of the tangled mess from the "Pretty Kitty" stamp set and the saying from the "Sunny Days" stamp set - I felt like it was a perfect match.
There were a several steps to create the focal point:
1) Stamp the kitty with Memento Black Ink (ink to be used with alcohol markers) on Shimmery White paper;
2) Stamp the kitty again on a full adhesive masking paper such as Post-It-Note and cut out;
3) Color the kitty with Stamp n' Blends alcohol markers - grey, touch of pink and Bermuda Bay for the yarn;
4) With the mask over the kitty ink blend with a Stampin' Sponge with Coastal Cabana ink pad;
5) Splatter with water and blot with a blue shop towel or paper towel;
6) Dry emboss the circle surrounding the kitty with several of the Layering Circles Framelits and the blue Big Shot Embossing Mat.
7) Lastly, cut out with another Layering Circle Framelit.
The sentiment was white heat embossed on Basic Black cardstock and the flag end was created with the Banner Triple Punch. A new Doily Builder Framelit was used to cut out a piece of Flirty Flamingo Designer Series Paper from the Brights pack. A few silver Metallic Sequins were adhered to the front with Tombow adhesive.

All pieces were layered on Whisper White Thick cut with a Rectangle Framelit and adhered to a piece of Coastal Cabana cardstock cut to 4 1/4" by 11" and scored at 5 1/2" for a standard sized A2 card.
