Colour Inkspiration #49 & SFO Team Challenge

Welcome to my blog post for Colour Inkspiration #49 challenge combined with my Stampin' Up! demo team, Stamping For Others', February challenge to make 11 cards with different themes. The theme for this card is using "a current punch from any Stampin' Up! catalog." I choose the Tailored Tag Punch and decided to make a tile background for the card.

Colour Inkspiration is a FaceBook private group hosted by very creative artists from Australia and New Zealand. Usually a bimonthly color challenge is posted based on a Pinterest picture. If you are interested in playing along, or just to see some creative papercrafting, just request to join the group. Here are the colors for this challenge:

To begin, I wanted to use my new punch, Tailored Tag, and to be honest, I was having difficulty getting a clean punch. I punched through aluminum foil several times, but the punch was not clean and the sides not coming out uniformly. At one point the punch actually fell apart.  Why am I telling you this? Because buying from a Company that stands behind their products is so important. I called Stampin' Up! Customer Service and with no hassle whatsoever, they are mailing a new punch to me at no charge. And I received an email that it shipped within the hour. Can't say enough how great the Customer Service is on ALL products.

Back to the card - I used the "Bloom by Bloom" stamp set and inked Melon Mambo on the top of tulip image and while still wet, inked Pineapple Punch on the bottom. The leaves are from the "Varied Vases" stamp set and stamped in Coastal Cabana. The small dots are also from "Bloom to Bloom" and stamped in Highland Heather.
The sentiment was white heat embossed with White Craft Ink & white embossing powder and heat set on Highland Heather card stock. It was cut with the Rectangle Stitched Framelits and popped up with Foam Adhesive Strips.

I hope you enjoyed this card and it inspires you to try a tiled background. Here are the links if you want to purchase any of the items used to make this card and thank you for your support.
