Welcome to my blog post for Fab Friday 156 combined with a card submittal for my Stampin' Up! Demo team February challenge. Fab Friday had a challenge to use the following 3 colors:
My team challenge was to use a Bundle from the Occasions catalog. I choose the Amazing Life Bundle:
This is such a fun stamp set with so many stamps for many occasions; birthday, St. Patrick's Day, general encouragement or just great backgrounds for any type of card. Since I think I've use the Rectangle Stitched Framelits dies on every card I've made since I received it, there's no need to say how much I love it. The stitches are on both the inside and outside of the line. Great for making a frame.
So this card was a clean and simple card made with reinkers of the 3 colors in the challenge on Shimmery White Paper. I wet the paper first with a wide paint brush. Next using a damp, small round paint brush, pick up and drop in each color separately, to let them blend together beautifully. I let it dry at least overnight. If the paper is warped, place it between a folded piece of white copy paper and run it through the Big Shot several times. It "irons" it flat.
I painted the cake with Stampin' Blends and Stampin Write Markers and fussy cut it out. The tiny flower is from the Artfully Folded Stamp Set watercolored and fussy cut out, too. To finish, I ran the front of the card through the Subtle Dynamic Textured Embossing Folder, placed some Pick a Pattern Washi Tape across the bottom and finished with some Basic Pearls.
I hope you enjoyed this card and to purchase any of the items shown here, just click on the links below. Thanks for sticking to the end!
