A quick blog post with Stampin' Up!'s Varied Vases and a dimensional technique called "paper tole". This is a simple 2 step stamping set, but the fun comes in "popping up" the vases so they look dimensional.
Once the vases are punched out with the coordinating Vases Builder Punch put the pieces upside down on a soft surface, such as the foam from the Big Shot Die Brush set. Using a tool with a rounded end, such as a large stylus and staring in the middle of the piece, with a circular motion slowly press harder and harder. It will break down the fibers in the paper and cause the paper to become rounded. To attached and keep 3 dimensional, I layered Stampin' Dimensionals behind it.
This technique can be used for any shaped item: flowers, pillows, animals, etc. If you enjoyed this card and would like to purchase any of these amazing Stampin' Up! products just click on the links below. And thank you for sticking to the end!
