Our Stamping For Others Team Challenge for February includes 11 different themed cards. This was my submittal for a masculine card for a guy of any age. I knew I wanted to watercolor blues and yellows to make a fun green.
I used the "Free Cake" stamp set and stamped with Memento Black Ink on Shimmery White card stock. I immediately sprinkled with clear embossing powder and heat set. I also stamped with Versamark Ink the lace line from the "Amazing Life" stamp set and the candle rays from the "Free Cake" set and set with gold embossing powder.
The watercoloring was done with 2 reinkers - Coastal Cabana and Pineapple Punch dropped wet-on-wet with a damp watercolor brush. I also watercolored a 1/4 sheet of Shimmery White paper with the same colors so I could punch out the matching balloons.
I cut 2 slits with my mat knife and a glass sheet in the paper at the top of each cake layer. With gold thread I tied a balloon string onto each of the balloons and pulled them through to the back of the card. I used scotch tape to adhere the strings on the back. Also fun foam was used to have a clean, smooth layer to pop up the card onto a Coastal Cabana A2 card base.
The inside reads "I mean, Happy Birthday!"
Good for any age male? I think so. If you'd like to purchase any of these products are are the links and thanks for stopping by!
