Colour Inkspiration #50

Welcome to my blog post to enter the Colour Inkspiration challenge #50. The colors are so reminiscence of the beach I went literal with "High Tide" stamp set. True be told, it is a stamp set I have had for a while but haven't used much.  It was fun to play with these particular colors and create the lighthouse, sky, water and sand.
The trickiest part of this card was the ink blending. I stamped the sand first, then the lighthouse in Blueberry Bushel and Bermuda Bay. Next, I created a mask by stamping the lighthouse with masking paper and fussy cut it. I also masked the sand with Post-It-notes. Finally, I stamped the light beam with Versamark and sprinkled with clear emboss powder and heat set. Once all these step were complete, I was ready to ink blend the water and sky from Bermuda Bay, Coastal Cabana and Mango Melody, in that order, using Stampin' Sponges.
I decided this would be a manly birthday card and used a clean and simple sentiment on the front of the card and inside, as well.

I hope you enjoyed this card and find some inspiration from it. If you would like to purchase any of these items, please click on the pictures below to go directly to my online store. Thanks for sticking to the end!
