Welcome to the International Highlights Winners Blog Hop for March 2019! I was honored to have my card chosen as the #1 choice by vote. Here is my card that won:
Kylie Bertucci is the Administrator of the original hop and she puts together the top ten winners into a separate blog hop. The theme is encouragement and I wanted to use Butterfly Beauty Thinlit Dies still available in the Occasions Catalog, but only (as far as I know) through March 31, 2019! It is a beautiful set of 5 butterflies that are cut all together in one pass through the Big Shot (or any die cutter).
I cut the butterflies with Whisper White Thick and did a quick ink blending with Stampin' Sponges with the following colors: Real Red, Mango Melody, Pineapple Punch, Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay, Highland Heather and Berry Burst. A soft gentle circular motion does a beautiful blend. It was adhered to a standard A2 Basic Black card stock with small touches of Tombow Liquid Adhesive all over the back.
The sentiment was cut 3 times from the "Well-Written" Framelits using Whisper White card stock. They are glued together with tiny specks of Tombow Liquid Adhesive to form a sturdy type of chip board. Vellum was cut with a "Rectangle Stitched" Framelit. The word "Sympathy" was adhered to the vellum with tiny bits of Tombow glue and adhered front of the card the same way.
The inside has a simple sentiment from the "Kindness & Compassion" stamp set. Really a beautiful font. A simple butterfly finished the inside.
Follow the links below to continue on with the hop and see some amazing work!
Thank you for sticking to the end and if you would like to recreate this card just click on the images below (by March 31st for the Occasions Catalog items) to go directly to my online store!
