I went with a "Sending Prayers" card create with the reverse/reflection technique. Using the long-time favorite, "Lovely as a Tree" stamp and Early Espresso a quiet subdued image is created.
To create an image that looks like it is a reflection, stamp the image right side up with Early Espresso ink onto Shimmery White card stock. Next, stamp the image on the plastic sheet that comes with the Stamp-A-Ma-Jig on the smooth side with the same ink. Turn the inked side down, line it up so that the trees line up and press down, rubbing well. The image will appear to be reflected, for it will not be as dark as the first image.
I decided to ink blend with Stampin' Sponges with Old Olive with some Lemon Lime Twist for the "ground". The sky was ink blended with Bermuda Bay. I splattered with large drops of water onto the card using a straw. I find that a straw leaves nice large drops, where a paint brush, for me, generally leaves smaller splatter. I discovered this one day at lunch at work when I had no paint brush with me!
To finish, I cut the center with the largest Rectangle Stitched Framelit. The "frame" that was created I adhered with Tombow Liquid adhesive. The center I popped up with fun foam glued with Tombow, as well. Lastly, the sentiment was done with Early Espresso, heat embossed with Clear Embossing Power on Balmy Blue card stock. I did a double cut with one of the Rectangle Stitched Framelit so that the stitching was all around the sentiment.
I hope you enjoyed this card. I find it my go-to card for sympathy, get-well and thinking about you cards.
