#CI53 & #C4C480 Challenges

I am back from a short hiatus where I was able to travel to Charlotte, NC for the April 2019 Stampin' Up! OnStage event. About 1200 demonstrators attended and I was able to meet my team leader and fellow demonstrators from across the US. It was a fun and informative event and there are some great changes in the works!

Today my card is a submittal for 2 challenges: Colour INKspiration #53, a color challenge and Crazy4Challenges #480, a sketch challenge:

I started with a piece of Stampin' Up! Watercolor Paper and the 4 reinkers from the challenge: Top to bottom: Petal Pink, Bermuda Bay, Mint Macaron and Night of Navy. The paper can be cut in half and gives you plenty of room to tape it to a hard board with yellow painters tape. This cuts down on the warping. Using a wet-on-wet technique, I applied the colors in a striped pattern with a flat watercolor brush. I wanted some blending, but not too much. I let it dry overnight and it was ready to go the next morning!
The focal image uses the largest oval from the Stitched Shapes Framelits. The image and the  sentiments are from the Beautiful You stamp set and stamped with Night of Navy. The flowers were stamped with Petal Pink from the Beautiful Bouquet stamp set and the centers were stamped with Versamark and heat embossed with Gold Emboss Powder. They were all cut with the matching Bouquet Bunch Framelit.
The sentiment was stamped on Whisper White card stock, again with Night of Navy ink, and a thin strip of Gold Foil Sheet was cut and adhered with Tombow Liquid Adhesive. The flag end was cut with the Banner Triple Punch. Everything was adhered with either Tombow or Dimensionals. Lastly, a few Night of Navy Enamel Dots from the Happiness Blooms set finishes off the outside.

The inside was stamped with a simple sentiment from the Beautiful You set and a few flowers were added to the corner leaving plenty of room to write a personal message.
I hope you enjoyed this card and are inspired to try simple water coloring! To purchase any of the products used to make this card please click on the links below and thanks for sticking to the end. Also, if you would like to receive the new catalog coming out June 2019 leave me a comment. I'd be happy to send you one. It's awesome!
