Hi all! Welcome to another dual challenge created with Stampin' Up! products! The color challenge is for Colour Inkspiration:
While the sketch challenge is for Freshly Made Sketches #385:
I wanted to created my own strip down the side with a small stamp I have been wanting to use for a while now. It is a small scalloped stamp that comes from the Artfully Folded stamp set:
I mounted this photopolymer stamp onto a Clear Block B and stamped repeatedly onto Whisper White cardstock with Memento Black ink. Since it is photopolymer it is easier to line up to create my own background paper:
Not perfect, but I planned to cut it out with a Delicate Lace Framelit. I cut 2 and mounted them back to back on a piece of Basic Black card stock with Tombow Liquid Adhesive. This gave it some depth of color to stand out a little more on the Whisper White Thick card stock base.
The main focal point is from the P.S. You're The Best set which I have used many times. Here is a previous post and the card. Just click on the image to go directly to the blog post.
My card for today uses the "sand" dots from the Waterfront stamp set to create a little background interest. I think I got a little carried away!
The inside has the typewriter stamped with a second generation of Memento Black ink and I stamped red hearts from the Love You To Pieces stamp set. The heart shape was cut using the Support Ribbon Framelit.
I hope you've enjoyed this card with the black & white theme and a pop of Real Red color:
2 of the stamps set used today will be discontinued by June 3, 2019: P.S. You're The Best and Artfully Folded. To purchase these sets or any Stampin' Up! products just click on any link below to go directly to my online store 24/7 and thanks for sticking to the end!

Welcome
I am a wife of 48 years married to my best friend, Mike. He has always been my biggest supporter. We have 3 beautiful daughters and 2 wonderful grandchildren. Also, I am a college graduate, still working full time, and trying to squeeze in every crafting moment possible. Working with my hands, whether it is papercrafting, stamping, painting, cross-stitching, zentangling or quilting - brings joy to my life. I love color in all its various forms.
