Welcome to my blog post for my second card for the Fab Friday 160 Challenge:

My second card had further inspiration from Online Card Classes Rainbow Maker. This time Kristina Werner's ink blending was added to Julie Ebersole's abstract direct to paper. Here is the abstract technique finished with the 4 colors from the challenge:
You simple take the edge of a well-inked stamp pad and run it randomly over a Whisper White card base until you are happy with the layout of the colors. Since this will be die cut it can be really abstract. I ran the "Happy Birthday" thinlit through this abstract paper and then 3 more times out of Basic Black. I used a spray adhesive (in the top of a shoe box to contain the spray) and glued the 4 die cuts together. I offset the back layer of the Basic Black so it would give the appearance of a drop shadow.
The ink blending is done in the center of a Whisper White A2 size with "Stampin' Sponges" using the Stampin' Ink Pads with the same colors of the challenge. Rub gently in a circular motion and overlap slightly until you are happy with the depth of color.
I splattered with water and pressed with a blue shop towel (paper towel) to obtain some star like texture.
I use the largest "Rectangle Stitched Framelit" on the ink blended card stock and popped it up on a Bermuda Bay A2 card base with fun foam. This is the sheet of inexpensive craft foam available from the local craft stores, Amazon, etc. I buy packs of white from Amazon and use it often for it give a nice smooth layer and helps the card keep its shape in the mail.
The final step was to punch some stars out of the abstract paper with the "Twinkle Builder Punch" and glue with Tombow Liquid Adhesive to the front of the card.
