Hi all - just a quick blog for both a color challenge and a sketch challenge. The colors are from the Sunday Stamps Challenge. There are five colors, but the rules allow the use of 3 plus a neutral:
The sketch is for my Stamping For Others weekly team challenge (private Facebook Stampin' Up! Demonstrators group):
I used the retiring host set, Seasoned with Kindness. It is a 2 step stamp which I haven't had a chance to use it previously. It was really fun to try out various combinations of the 5 color in the challenge. I ended up using 4 - Crushed Curry, Daffodil Delight, Gorgeous Grape and Mossy Meadow.
I used quite a bit of second generation stamping on this card - stamp off on scratch paper once and then stamp on the card so that it is lighter than the first stamp. The ovals were cut out of Whisper White card stock with the Stitched Shapes Framelits. The bottom of the card is Crumb Cake card stock used with the Petal Burst Embossing Folder.
The top half of the card is Highland Heather card stock stamped with the floral image from the Jar of Love stamp set. To finish the front, I stamped the little "Thank you" tag that comes with the set with Gorgeous Grape. Finally, I tied a small bow with Linen Thread and attached with a mini glue dot.
I also used the same floral image on the inside of the card with a sentiment from the Fabulous Flamingo stamp set.
Lastly, I rounded the corners with the Detailed Trio Punch for a nice clean look.
Sorry to say, all 3 stamps sets used today will be retiring. If you'd like to purchase these fun sets, just click on the links below:

Welcome
I am a wife of 48 years married to my best friend, Mike. He has always been my biggest supporter. We have 3 beautiful daughters and 2 wonderful grandchildren. Also, I am a college graduate, still working full time, and trying to squeeze in every crafting moment possible. Working with my hands, whether it is papercrafting, stamping, painting, cross-stitching, zentangling or quilting - brings joy to my life. I love color in all its various forms.
