Welcome to my 100th blog post! Crazy, right? It has been a journey of love...stamping and coloring...what could be better? I thought I post some cards I made recently to sell at my daughter's shop in Wake Forest, NC. It is called The Toadstoole Shoppe and it is located at The Cotton Company.
Father's Day is coming up, but I like to make cards that could be used for either Father's Day or Dad's birthday. The Best Catch stamp set is perfect for a masculine card:
The fish and cattails are cut from Stampin' Up! Watercolor paper and watercolored with various reinkers: Pear Pizzazz, Old Olive, Berry Burst, Daffodil Delight and Gorgeous Grape and Highland Heather. I used these some of these same colors and die cut the circle from the Stitched Shapes Framelits to anchor the focal point.
The background is Very Vanilla card stock run through the Big Shot with the Seaside Texture Embossing Folder giving a bit of movement.
As I was making the cards, I used a challenge layout from my Stampin' Up! Team challenge for one of the designs:
The inside of the cards were one of two:
"For You, Dad" and "It's Your Day" sentiments leave the cards open ended so that they can be used for various occasions.
THANK YOU for reading and commenting on my blog posts. I read every comment and am so grateful the so many of you have taken your precious time to read and follow my work. Stampin' Up! has such a high quality product and very versatile images. Give them a try.
