I seem to be in need of sympathy card lately I wanted to create a card using the new Free As a Bird Bundle. This was my favorite set for both the stamps and dies from Onstage.
This was a very easy card to put together. Using an A2 sized card base from Whisper White Thick card stock, I glue two pieces of the Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper to the front - 5 1/4" X 2". A thin piece of Gold Foil Sheet was cut and glued with Tombow Liquid adhesive between the two pieces of DSP. The birds on a limb were stamped with Memento Black ink on Whisper White Thick card stock, colored with Stampin' Blends and die cut with the new Stitched Nested Dies.
The "lace" edging is a new die cut from the Arts & Craft Dies. It's perfect for lace trim and I think this will be getting a lot of use in my craft room! Sending Prayers sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set, gold heat embossed on Whisper White and die cut with a small Rectangle Stitched Framelit. Finally, it was popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals. A few gold Metallic Pearls finished off the front.
The inside of the card was stamp with second generation stamping using Smoky Slate ink. The sentiment is from the new Woven Heirlooms Stamp set which has the most beautiful sayings and font.
