Hi friends! I have been on a bit of a sabbatical lately, but I am back! I didn't want miss out on a chance to participate in Kylie Bertucci's Blog Hop for August 2019. No theme, which is a good thing and a bad thing. Themes help my mind focus on a design, but no theme lets me try out a new technique or stamp set.
In this case I have to say I was inspired by Jennifer McGuire's online card class for Stretching Your Dies. My card is a Clean and Simple design using the Believe You Can stamp set. This is one of my favorite sets in the annual catalog, but it is only available for hosts or if you place an order over $150. As a demonstrator, we are given the opportunity to purchase them directly during the catalog pre-order, too.
Jennifer had used die cuts to create her shapes, but I used the line images from the stamp set - the 2 flowers and the leaves. I stamped them onto Fluid 100 watercolor paper with Versamark ink and used black embossing powder to heat set. I watercolor the images with the new Pigment Sprinkles and the fussy cut the images. I did trim the flower down one layer for a better visual design.
The border paper is 2 different Designer Series Paper: One from the Come Sail Away set and one from the general 6 X 6 Brights pack.
I adhered most of the images with a mini dimensional glue dot and a few with Tombow Liquid Adhesive. The word "wishes" as die cut 3 times from Basic Black card stock using one of the Well Written Dies. They were adhered together with Tombow. I use tweezers to hold the images while I am placing them together. The card base is an A2 size with Basic Black card stock (4 1/2" X 5 1/2").
The inside has a few more of the water colored images kept at their original size. I left the inside blank. This was it can be used for birthday, sympathy or just a general note when I need a fast card.
Thanks for visiting today and please take a look at all the work from all the other creative Stampin' Up! demos in today's bog hop:
