Hi friends! Well it's that time again for Kylie's International Stampin' Up! Blog Hop. It's August already and the dog days have been going on for a while here in North Carolina, USA. Hot, hot and hot. Perfect weather to stay inside and craft in air conditioning!
The theme for today's hop is encouragement. I think just sending a note card to someone is a great way to let them know you are thinking of them and give positive encouragement. When I saw the "I Say Hello" stamp set I knew I wanted to try repeat stamping with the "Hello There" stamp.
Using the Stamparatus with Fluid 100 Watercolor paper and Stazon Black ink, I stamped the image "Hello There" 6 times. By using the Stamparatus stamp positioner, if you don't get a perfect stamped image, you can repeat until you are happy with the intensity of the black.
I used the ink refills as liquid watercolor paint and filled in the blocks. I was trying for a gradient effect and used a wet (but not runny) paint brush. I tried to be as careful as possible, so as not to color outside the lines. Sometimes we want to let the color go wherever, but in this case I wanted it contained.
The sentiment is from the "A Little Lace" stamp set and I love the clean type font using white embossing powder on Basic Black card stock. My type of card - colorful and graphic. To finish, I adhered the panel, once completely dry, to a A2 landscape Basic Black card base with Tear and Tape Adhesive. Lastly, I added a few Glitter Enamel dots for a little bling.
This blog hop is one that you can vote for me to be picked in the Top Ten.
Wonderful card design. Love the vibrant colors for the backgrounds. :)

ReplyDeleteThank you, Melinda! I've got to say I love bright, vibrant colors, too! They do make you happy! Thanks for the great comments.
ReplyDeleteI love the colours they are so bright. My first thought was you used the pigment sprinkles and was wondering how you got such a clean image. The use of reinkers is something I will have to give a go - it does enable you to control the colour a little more. Great card
ReplyDeleteThank you, Vickie. You could use the pigment sprinkles for the same card if you make up a batch of each color on a watercolor pallet. I am glad you like my card!
ReplyDeleteWhat a cheery card. Love the repeat stamp and bright colours. Wonderful card Anita. Thanks for being part of my international highlights this month! All the best with the voting.
