I used my Peerless Water Colors in Robin's Egg Blue and Cobalt Blue. If you haven't tried Peerless Water Colors, they are amazingly vibrant, portable and easy to use. Here is their own description on their website:
"Nicholson's Peerless Transparent Watercolors have been in creation since 1885.
We continue to create each color by hand in the same manner they were produced 130+ years ago. All of our products are 100% non-toxic and suitable for all ages."
I used Ranger Water Color Paper in the 8 1/2" X 11" size cut in half. Using the MISTI, I stamped the Impression Obsession Stamp - Alesa Baker Design #E8750 with Versamark on the smooth side of the paper (first treating with an Embossing Buddy). I sprinkled with Hero Arts Silver Embossing Powder and heat set with my Wagner Heat Tool.
I wet the surface with a wide brush and clean water. Next, I picked up a bit of color from the Peerless Water Colors (one at a time) and drop it into the wet areas using a Silver Black Velvet Brush #8.
I let dry several hours and then using a black Tombow marker I added black to an acrylic block. Next, I flicked the ink onto the card with a paint brush for a splattered look. I stamped the Impression Obsession Kaleni Allred Design #C14071 on each card using a Stamp-A-Ma-Jig and Versafine Black Ink.
I ended up making 2 cards each a little different. The colored card stock is all by My Favorite Things, Black Licorice and Blu Raspberry. The quality is outstanding.
To finish, I used Ranger Enamel Accent in Black and added a few drops on each card. I love the way they turned out! Color challenges really help you create combinations that may not have used before.
