Welcome to my blog post for Time Out Challenges #150:
How fun is this stamp set? Art Impressions has such fun, playful images and this one is no exception. I feel it is really Merry & Cheerful!
I have a friend who's job was (she's retired now) to work with insects and bees and I learned so much from her about the plight of the bees. When I saw this set, I thought it was perfect for a Christmas Card for her!
I used my usual: Bristol Smooth Card stock, Scrapbook.com Hybrid Black Ink and my Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. Once colored, I cut it out with Spellbinders S4-905, Fancy Edged Rectangles. The cool scalloped edge with little stitched dots is one of my favorites.
Simply finished with a piece of Pink and Main's Be Merry card stock and adhered to a base of Neenah Solar White. I did color the white areas with Tonic Studio Nuvo Aqua Flow Shimmer Brush. So glittery in real life.
Last, but not least, added those beautiful Pretty Pink Posh Sparking Clear embellishments using Gina K Connect glue. Dries clear and hold perfectly!
A very simple inside card sentiment, which leaves plenty of room for a hand written message.
I used this stamp set on a wood slice ornament and colored with Tombow markers. Sorry, but sent it out to my daughter's shop before I got a picture! My point is, it is a very flexible stamp set.
Thanks for stopping by at this busy time of year and I wish you a BEE-UTIFUL Holiday!
Anita, the perfect card for your friend. Wishing you a most joyous Christmas season!
