Next, I used a piece of Simon Hurley's 100 lb. white card stock to ink blend an oval. I just bought Taylored Expression's Designer Masking Stencils. I bought the set of 4, they come in squares, rectangles, ovals and circles and have both positive and negative shapes. I started with the large oval piece shown on the right here and lightly held it to the card stock with a bit of adhesive.

Welcome to my blog as guest designer this week for Color Throwdown #572: turquoise, green, gold & white. It's really quite an honor, to win a challenge, and then be the guest designer.
There are 4 dies that cut out the hamsters in groups. Really well thought out.

I started by coloring the 3 singing Hamsters from Waffle Flower's Winter Hamsters Combo with my Kuretake Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers. This set is so well designed. It is 3 stamps with 9 hamsters, but they are in groups: 3, 4 and 2:
Next, I used a piece of Simon Hurley's 100 lb. white card stock to ink blend an oval. I just bought Taylored Expression's Designer Masking Stencils. I bought the set of 4, they come in squares, rectangles, ovals and circles and have both positive and negative shapes. I started with the large oval piece shown on the right here and lightly held it to the card stock with a bit of adhesive.
I used Scrapbook.com's domed Ink Blending Tools to gently blend Simon Hurley's Clear Skies and Later Gator around the edges.
Next, I used Taylored Expression's Topsy Turvey Stencil on the white oval in the center by placing the negative mask around it. I dabbed Versamark ink through the stencil until it was saturated and sprinkled with Taylored Expression's Fine Detail White Embossing Powder and heat set. Then I removed the mask and realigned the stencil in the center. I used a somewhat dry baby wipe and dabbed it through the stencil on the colored portion of the card.
I really enjoyed using these Taylored Expression masks. I can envision so many more uses!
You aren't seeing the white embossed area in the picture very well, unfortunately. Couldn't seem to capture it.
The center is an oval cut from Vellum and I embossed a slight edge around it with Nuvo Glitter Embossing Powder - Gold Enchantment. I used the same gold embossing powder for the sentiment: FA-LA-LA.
The outside images have some Nuvo Crystal Glaze on parts and I added a few Nuvo Drops Gloss Caribbean Ocean. I used fun foam to adhere the base of the card and then to an A2 card base of the same Simon Hurley card stock. First time I've used it and I really like it.
The inside is a fun sentiment from Scrapbook.com Christmas Fun Card Sentiments.
Thanks for sticking to the end and thank you to Color Throwdown for inviting me today.
If you are interested in any of the items used today all links are shown below. Happy crafting!

Welcome
I am a wife of 48 years married to my best friend, Mike. He has always been my biggest supporter. We have 3 beautiful daughters and 2 wonderful grandchildren. Also, I am a college graduate, still working full time, and trying to squeeze in every crafting moment possible. Working with my hands, whether it is papercrafting, stamping, painting, cross-stitching, zentangling or quilting - brings joy to my life. I love color in all its various forms.
