I was happy this week to submit a card for "Just Us Girls":

I have had such fun using Kat Scrappiness' Crafters Essential Winter Dies:
This set is very reasonably priced for all 5 items in it. As of this writing they are on sale for $24.99. Also there is a 25% off sale through Dec. 25, 2019 using the code "WINTER19" on Christmas, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Hannukkah products. The stitched hills can be used all year round, as not only snow, but also grass. The trees are just beautiful and help make a great scene. I didn't use the deer or full backdrop plate in this card, but I did run them through my Big Shot and will definitely make use of them in the future. That backdrop scene has many possibilities!
I have friends that are great skiers and I knew this would be the Christmas card for them. It's fun to personalize cards to the recipient's interests if you can.
I started by stamping with Scrapbook.com's Black Hybrid Ink onto Bristol Smooth white card stock my skiing santa from Power Poppy's Action Santa set. I have had this in my stash for several years now and believe it is still available. They also have a digital version for those that prefer digi stamps. Using a digital version you can resize the image to any size that you like. I colored him with Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and cut him with my Brother Scan 'n Cut.
The background is Neenah Solar White 120 lb. card stock with a layer of Glitter Glaze by Brutus Monroe through MFT's snowfall stencil. I wish I could capture the shine in pictures for it is amazing! I cut the trees and the snow hills from the same Neenah paper so that all the whites match. The trees are ink blended with various shades of Altenew dye inks in green and a little Distress ink on top. I left the trees in the panel that was run through the Big Shot and ink blended it as one piece. This keeps all the little limbs flat. The snow hills have a bit of blue ink blended on the edges, too.
All pieces were glued flat to the card with Tombow Liquid Adhesive and Gina K Connect. I like Tombow for general overall adhering and Gina K for the tiny areas that may smush outside the lines. My santa was popped up with foam dots by Scrapbook.com. They aren't so high that it makes putting the card in the envelope difficult.
A simple sentiment on the inside, left room for a hand-written note.
I made 2 cards with this same layout, this one in more blues:
Thank you, Just Us Girls, for hosting an "Anything Goes" Challenge during this busy time of year and for anyone that is reading this to the end, THANK YOU and HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Welcome
I am a wife of 48 years married to my best friend, Mike. He has always been my biggest supporter. We have 3 beautiful daughters and 2 wonderful grandchildren. Also, I am a college graduate, still working full time, and trying to squeeze in every crafting moment possible. Working with my hands, whether it is papercrafting, stamping, painting, cross-stitching, zentangling or quilting - brings joy to my life. I love color in all its various forms.

That skiing Santa is fantastic, Anita. Both images are beautifully colored and I love the sentiments that go with them. Thanks for sharing your cards with us at just Us Girls.
