Simon Hurley with Freshly Made Sketches #414

Hi friends...well Christmas is fast approaching and those Christmas cards need to get finished! I make Christmas cards almost all year long and never tire of the cute images that keep coming out year after year. If you are not aware of Simon Hurley, the designer of the stamp set I am using today, he started at 14 years old making videos and designing cards. Fast forward to today, he has graduated high school and has his own line of stamps (he hand-draws the design) and inks with Ranger. What a great story. Kudos to him and his family for supporting his dream!
My card today is for submittal to Freshly Made Sketches #414. I thought the little guy caroling was the perfect vertical image as shown in this sketch.

I actually made 2 cards - one in a red and one in an olive. The "FA LA LA" is from MFT Die-Namics line, but no longer available on their website. I linked to the shop I purchased from, but there are others online. The stamp set itself has a stamp with "Fa La La" so if you didn't have the die, you could this stamp.
The caroler and his dog were stamped with Scrapbook.com Hybrid Black ink onto Bristol Smooth card stock and colored with Zig Real Clean Brush Markers. I fussy cut out the images and glued them directly to the card. The stars are from the Christmas Card Kit from Pink and Main. That kit is still available and it has my all-time favorite car stamp in it. VW Bug with presents on top! It's an exclusive kit and the stamp set is only available with that kit. But here is the inside of these cards with Simon's fun hand written fonts.
Simple card, but I really like Simon's cute style and the sentiments with a bit of humor!

I know this is a really busy time of year, so if you have read this far, I appreciate it! All products mentioned are shown below. Have a good, crafty week!
