Taylored Expressions January Challenge #1

Taylored Expressions is one of my all time favorite stamp companies for their innovation and complete line of all stamping and crafting products. I plan to show many more of their great products in the future.

Their Facebook group, Fans of Taylored Expressions has a published monthly challenge for all of 2020. This is great so you can plan ahead if you participate in challenges!
For this card, I used masking and grey:
I can't say enough about TE's line of 6" X 6" masking stencils. They have ovals, squares, circles, rectangles, hearts and hexagons. For this card I used the squares. You have the positives and negatives to use with 2 different sizes. I used the small square piece (bottom left) for this card.
I adhered the square mask to my 4" X 5 1/4" Neenah 80 lb. white card base with a tiny bit of repositional adhesive. Then using my Wendy Vecchi Make art Stay-tion, I could easily hold down TE's Topsy Turvy stencil over it and ink blend 2 grays from Scrapbook.com's Hybrid line of ink with their foam ink blending tools. All of these tools make life so easy and your work comes out clean with no finger smudges.

I know it's hard to see the white square that was masked off, since I pretty much covered it up with Mr. & Mrs. Grumpling! They were stamped with Scrapbook.com Black Hybrid Ink onto Bristol Smooth Paper and water colored with my Zig Real Color Brush Markers. I used a silver gel pen too. I do have the matching die cuts to cut the images perfectly. Finally they were popped up with Scrapbook.com's round adhesives.
Funny, funny sentiment stamped onto the A2 sized card base made from WPlus9 Dove Grey card stock.
