Sugar Pea Mix It Up Challenge March 2020

Hi all! This month's Sugar Pea Design Mix It Up Challenge was so inspiring! I made this card using both the colors and the sketch. I had so many more ideas, I could have easily kept on creating! I love when that happens.
I used Simon Hurley inks and card stock to create the base. Such pretty soft colors (all listed below). Once the base was completed, I stamped the jukebox image with Versafine ink onto the card using my MISTI. Stamped twice for a nice clean image.
To keep with the sketch challenge, I used My Favorite Things Die-Namics, Zig Zag Stitched Circle STAX to cut a circle out of the base. This would make a great shaker card, too, but I went with popping up the circle with Scrapbook.com's Square Double Sided Foam Adhesive.
The records are part of the Sugar Pea Jukebox Jive stamp set which has matching dies to cut them out perfectly. I love the What's Shakin? sentiment, stamped with Versafine Black onto white card stock. Using the Avery Elle Simple Sentiments die cuts, the sentiment was cut cleanly. I always try to cut sentiments by hand, but one side always ends up wonky. Dies are the way to go. Once all image adhered, a little Wink of Stella gives a bit of shine to the records.
Simple inside sentiment and I partially the Jukebox image with Simon Hurley's "Woof" so a bit lighter than the sentiment.

Well, that's it for this card challenge! I am really happy with the outcome. I  can't say enough good things about Sugar Pea Design products - they are very high quality and stamp so cleanly without prepping!

Be well, my friends. This is a tough time for the world and somehow card making helps to keep positive thoughts going.
