These classes are open to everyone for a small cost and are always available online, if you want to go back and refresh. I watch all the classes at least twice, for I pick up tidbits that I missed the first time. I keep a notebook and take notes as I watch, so I can easily go back and remind myself of the class.
I have had this Altenew cool stamp set, Sohcahtoa, in my stash for quite a while and never really used it. I was so excited to take it out, practice, and work up a couple of manly cards.
Jen Rzasa taught to draw a light pencil line with a ruler to give yourself a straight base. I practiced with various size stamps, various colors, some solid, some just outline...you can see I eventually learned how to stamp properly. Lots of fun...worked on it while watching TV with hubby.
I went with a clean and simple design and colors which I thought would appeal to a guy - gray, green and blue. I lined each side with a small strip of black card stock and just popped the piece on fun foam with liquid glue. I used the "Hello" die from the Bold Greetings die set and cut it 3X from black card stock. I layered the pieces with liquid glue to make a nice chipboard-like piece. A few black embellishments finished it off.
My second card had the same sort of design, but instead of just one stamp per color, I stamped 3 triangles in each block with the same color. I cut the finished piece at an angle and added the "hello" from the Hello and Hugs dies. The background of the "hello" is cut from a piece from the Essential Rock Collection, then a piece of white, then Lush Lagoon from My Favorite Things.
Thank you for visiting today. Jen taught so many tips and tricks in these 6 classes I believe I will combine them in the future with other cards. Altenew products are of the highest quality and such creative designs!

Welcome
I am a wife of 48 years married to my best friend, Mike. He has always been my biggest supporter. We have 3 beautiful daughters and 2 wonderful grandchildren. Also, I am a college graduate, still working full time, and trying to squeeze in every crafting moment possible. Working with my hands, whether it is papercrafting, stamping, painting, cross-stitching, zentangling or quilting - brings joy to my life. I love color in all its various forms.
