Hello friends and thanks for visiting today and following me on my Altenew Education Certification process. I am working on the Clean and Simple Boutique Cards class and this is my second submittal. The sketch I used was from the Freshly Made Sketches 430 challenge for this week:
This class was so interesting in its many different techniques taught. Right now the class is less than $5.00. So worth it.
Jen Rzasa taught a class on foiling on a card. Her card was just beautiful that she made and she showed a technique that we could all easily do. The last class on the series showed how to decorate and foil using double-sided adhesive and a punch. Well I got to thinking that I could do the same thing with double-sided adhesive and a die image. Here is the result:
I die cut the deer image from Festive Silhouettes set out of Scrapbook.com's Double Sided Adhesive sheets. Also, this Altenew set is on sale now for $17.05 - both the stamp and die! Such a good price...start your Christmas cards now!
Next, I adhered the die cut to a piece on Neenah Solar White 110 lb. card stock. and pulled off the top release piece. I had cut a square of Thermo Web Deco Foil Gold D'Or Oro to fit the image and laid it down pretty side up. I simply rubbed it on with my finger and lifted off the gold foil once all adhered. It left this simply image in beautiful gold foil:
The sentiments are from both this set and the Halftone Happy set stamped with Altenew's Antique Gold Pigment ink. The hexagon frame was from my stash. I cut it 3 times all out of the Neenah 100 lb card stock. It make such a nice sturdy focal point.
Fun and easy way to foil with your die cuts. I did think I will try the ornament die from this set, cut it 3 times out of the double-sided adhesive and have them staggered on the front of the card.
Thanks for sticking to the end and I have one more set of cards from this class to show you soon!

Welcome
I am a wife of 48 years married to my best friend, Mike. He has always been my biggest supporter. We have 3 beautiful daughters and 2 wonderful grandchildren. Also, I am a college graduate, still working full time, and trying to squeeze in every crafting moment possible. Working with my hands, whether it is papercrafting, stamping, painting, cross-stitching, zentangling or quilting - brings joy to my life. I love color in all its various forms.
