The Card Concept Challenge #135 Red, White & Blue

Welcome to The Card Concept challenge for Red, White & Blue! My style card is Clean and Layered.
I was most inspired by the patriotic theme of the picture and wanted to use this beautiful American Flag stamp from Impression Obsession:

This was a little tricky for it is a one piece stamp and I wanted the fields of blue stars and the stripes of red not overlapping in color. I tried stamping, but the colors always overlapped and did not look right.
I ended up stamping the image with Versamark Ink and sprinkling with white embossing powder on Bristol Smooth card stock. Next, I ink blended 2 Distress Inks over the card, Blueprint Sketch and Candied Apple. My 3rd step was to stamp the image twice - once with the Blueprint Sketch and once with the Candied Apple. I fussy cut the images. Where the blue and red meet I used liquid adhesive to adhere the 2 parts over the white embossed, ink blended background for the final look.
The sentiment is from SugarPea Designs Ooh La La set which has been discontinued, but still available on the Not2Shabby website. I thought it was perfect for this card.
I finished with a few Heart Jelly Drops from Trinity Stamps' Boiled Sugar Mix. They come in different sizes and are so clear, you can see the colored ink right through them! Here is a nice large picture so you can see them close up:
I believe we are all feeling very patriotic, especially this year. I hope you enjoyed the bright card and play along with the challenge!
