It's funny how you can find inspiration everywhere...take this Sketch Challenge for Sunday Stamps...I had the lovely Altenew Painted Flowers set in mind when I saw the sketch. Also, remembering a kitchen design my husband and I saw a few years ago. It was a kitchen in lime green, black and white and we loved it!
I stamped the Altenew Painted Flowers with Altenew's Honey Drizzle and Parrot inks - I was just drawn to a striking lime green and yellow colors. The background was done by white heat embossing one of the Altenew Block Print designs on white card stock. Once dry and with Altenew's Ink Blending Tool I blended Parrot Ink all over it. This tool is amazing - feels great in the hand and is as soft as a cloud.
This card came together so quickly. I place Altenew's Dotted Washi tape on white card stock and cut a circle. Gave the flowers a landing zone, so to speak!
The sentiment is from Taylored Expression's Simple Strips Background and matching die. This is absolute best set to have. I stamped and white heat embossed the stamp one time and had 18 sentiments at once! The die is lined up with the square dots and cuts them out perfectly with one pass. Taylored Expression has other sets for many other occasions, too.
So one, two, three, the card is done! Thank you Sunday Stamps for the fun sketch challenge.
I hope you enjoyed my post and be safe, my friends!

I am a wife of 48 years married to my best friend, Mike. He has always been my biggest supporter. We have 3 beautiful daughters and 2 wonderful grandchildren. Also, I am a college graduate, still working full time, and trying to squeeze in every crafting moment possible. Working with my hands, whether it is papercrafting, stamping, painting, cross-stitching, zentangling or quilting - brings joy to my life. I love color in all its various forms.
