Purranormal Cativity

This week I am playing along with Freshly Made Sketches #457 for a "Purranormal Cativity" card!
Since there are 3 layers to the sketch, I pulled the center layer from my Halloween paper stash and worked on the other 2 layers. The background is orange card stock with bats stencilled on the edges with Black Soot Distress Ink and Tim Holtz's Stampers Anonymous Batground THS046:
You can see I used my Wendy Vecchi Mark-Art Stay-tion with a piece of copy paper underneath. I am working from home now and there is plenty of scrap paper of which I can make use. Hate to waste. The 4 magnets that come with the  Stay-tion are perfect. They don't snap together and yet hold everything perfectly.
Next, I worked on the center layer using Bristol Smooth card stock, i-crafter Cosmic Flare Stencil and Distress Ink in Carved Pumpkin and Wild Honey. I used Scrapbook.com's Ink Blending Tools for both.

I used the regal cat image from the Costumed Cuties set from Spellbinders' Fun Stamper Journey as my focal point. What a cute set and I have to say I love that the dies are not hooked together, but come separately. They die cut just beautifully.

I colored the image with various alcohol markers. I have Altenew's, Copic's, and Spectrum Noir's - so I mix and match all of them.

I put a dab of Nuvo Crystal Glaze Clear on the cat's nose for that fun shine!
I thought the rays coming out from the body would indicate "Purranormal Cativity". The sentiment was stamped with Altenew's Obsidian Black Ink and while still wet, I sprinkled Nuvo Crystal Clear Embossing Powder over it and heat set. The great part was that there is a coordinating die in the set to cut out the sentiment. I love that!
All layers were put together with liquid glue except for the cat, which was popped up with foam tape. The finishing touch were a few sequins from Hero Arts Ombre Purple Sequin mix - perfect for Halloween!
I use my Trinity Stamps Tray to hold the sequins while I apply them. I don't know what it is, but this tray works so well, especially in pouring the sequins back into the container. None lost and not sticking to me or my desk!

Thank you, Freshly Made Sketches for the inspiration. If you are still with me at this point, I appreciate it. Thank you!!!
