Welcome to the 2nd challenge for The Card Concept November 2020 called Holiday Home:
To begin this card I stamped Altenew's Obsidian Black Ink onto a piece of red card stock with My Right at Home Gingham Background Stamp. That made a beautiful plaid just like the inspiration photo.
I knew I wanted to use the Truckin Through the Seasons die (Large Die of the Month Oct. 2018 but still available) from Spellbinders and have presents and a tree in the truck:
For the center of the card, I needed some background interest and thought an embossing folder from Darice called Dot was perfect to mimic snow.
The entire front of the card was all die cuts! I very seldom create just a die cut card, but it was fun and came together really quickly. Using scraps of cardstock: 2 shades of green, black, white, grey and some glitter and metallics I used my Big Shot and cut out all the pieces. The license plate and "Be Merry" sentiment came from Spellbinders' Even More Sentiments:
A little liquid glue, some foam tape and I have a beautiful card! To finish, I used a white gel pen on the tires to give them a bit of highlight. I am going to leave the inside blank for now.
I didn't use this set above, but look how cute a calendar would be for each month using the truck. I am thinking it would be a fun gift for those that use a desk calendar.
Well, Happy Holidays to all and please come and join us for this challenge! We'd love to see your creations.
