Hi friends, if you follow me you know I submitted to the Color Throwdown challenge for this week. Well, I made a second card for it.
I am going to link to this first challenge card since the process is the same, Just used a different Altenew Stamp & Die set, called Tea Time. Also NBUS because I have not used this set before.
Here is the first card I made for the challenge:
I started with the cut little tea pot from the Altenew Tea Time set and stamped it multiple times with Altenew's Obsidian Black Ink onto Ranger WaterColor Paper - the smooth side. Immediately sprinkled with clear embossing powder and heat set.
Now I had fun watercoloring with Altenew's 36 Pan Watercolor set in the 4 challenge colors: yellow, pink, lilac and green. Since the blog post for the first card has all the details, I'll skip to the thought process for this card.
I love tea, but I wanted this to be a card I can sell at my daughter's shop at The Cotton Company in Wake Forest, NC. We do vignettes with cards and themes, so after the 4th of July there is a break of time and we decided to fill it in with "Friendship Day" July 30th! How fun to make cards for friends.
So here is my first of about 10 cards for The Toadstool Shoppe for this day in which we celebrate out friends! Thank you Altenew for the great set called "Dearest Friend" which inspired us!
Here they are together..similar but different. Just like sisters!
I have to get busy on the other 9 of them. Can't wait! Thanks for joining me today and stay tuned for more Friendship Day cards, my friends!
