In the world of card making florals are always very popular and this challenge brings out the best in florals! The overall size of this card is 8 1/2" X 3 1/2". I used Whimsy Stamps Slimline Scenic Countryside Die Set to create the frame with mitered corners!I made the background (using the center panel of the sliml...

Welcome to my post for the SugarPea Mix It Up Challenge for this month - April 2021:Also, playing along with NBUS for most of the products I used today were used for the first time on this card:For this card I used the sketch only:This was so fun to put together. I had colored and cut all the images from the SugarPea Designs Hey Summer stamp and coordinating die set earlier this year. Love to use items from my "already created" pile to pull a card together. This makes it quicker, but there is s...

On sale now as of this post for $15 from $35! The dies include: a carrot, a cherry, a strawberry, an orange/lemon/lime slice along with frosting and a layered candle. So many options to create with this set. If you go to the Spellbinders site you can see so many project made. Really inspiring! Here are the dies on my magnetic storage sheet. I thought you'd might be able to see them better: My carrot cake was for my husband's birthday since that is his favorite cake. I stayed with cream colors, taupes and oranges to recreate the look of carrot cake. A little ink blending around the edges, too to give it some dimension. When I was finished it felt a little blank, so brown/gold glitter was perfect to give it the specs you see in carrot cake. I think the glitter was the perfect touch! Just a side note, the Spellbinders Club Kits are some of the best value out there in the crafting world. I belong to 3, the Large Die, the Small Die and the Hot Foil clubs. The good thing about this monthly club is that you can see the kits in the beginning of the month and opt out for the month if you choose. That is allowed a few times, just in case you really don't like or want the set that month. The Frequently Asked Questions will give you all the details. But I can tell you when you see what is created each month with the Club Kits, they are hard to resist! Here are a few of my favorite cards I created with Spellbinders Club Kits - Thanks for joining me today with a little walk through time with my Spellbinder creations. Hope you get to enjoy the sale! |

Welcome

I am a wife of 48 years married to my best friend, Mike. He has always been my biggest supporter. We have 3 beautiful daughters and 2 wonderful grandchildren. Also, I am a college graduate, still working full time, and trying to squeeze in every crafting moment possible. Working with my hands, whether it is papercrafting, stamping, painting, cross-stitching, zentangling or quilting - brings joy to my life. I love color in all its various forms.
