Hello Crafty Friends and welcome to our Christmas in July Blog Hop sponsored by The Paper Funday Challenges and The Inspiration Station Challenge! Please hop along with us today for some fantastic holiday crafting inspiration and there are Prizes too!
If you were directed here from Christi's amazing post, you are in the right place. Should you get lost, please start at The Paper Funday Challenge blog and work your way through the hop.
For this blog hop there will be 6 prizes awarded, randomly chosen from all the commenters. Each designer will ask a question in their post and you must answer the question in your comment in order to be eligible for a prize. I'll save my question for the end of the post!
My project started with a digital image from Polkadoodles from the Winnie Winterland Collection called Cosy Christmas. I knew I wanted to try out using small lights in a framed image and I thought this was perfect for lighting either the fire, the tree or the candles on the mantel. I chose the fire using 3 lights from Pear Blossom.
I have to say, I've never used lights before, because it seemed like I needed an engineering degree, but Pear Blossom EZ-Lights were so simple! Just poke a small hole in the image that you want to light up and thread the tiny lights through it. The lights are attached to a battery holder. The battery comes with the set - you just slid it in the holder. I taped everything down on the back with scotch tape. Probably took 2 minutes. Why did I wait so long?
- The other products I used for this project:
Ranger Ink - Ranger Watercolor Paper
Blick Art - Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers
Blick Art - Silver Black Velvet Brushes
Michael's - 4" X 6" Wood Frame (glass removed)
- To be added at a later date: Creating a "Press Here" sticker from:
Scrapbook.com - Lawn Fawn Push Here Stamps
Scrapbook.com - Lawn Fawn Push Here Coordinating Die
Here are the Prizes for the Blog Hop. Be sure to comment and answer all the specific questions. Lots of inspiration and a chance to win a prize...what could be better than that?

DeleteWhat a stunning project this is! And so pretty!! And of course, I love the light up fire. So cool. My first hobby was cross stitching. My Mom taught me when I was about 21 and it just progressed from there into paper crafts. We used to go to all the craft shows together. I miss those days!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Becca. I love hearing the stories how our moms taught us our first hobby. I learned cross stich too as a young girl and now my daughter is an avid cross stitcher! Her work is beautiful. Thank you again for your kind comment.
