- Simply print on copy paper the size wanted in a normal black print. That will be the image you trace.
- Then place a piece of watercolor paper over it. I used Strathmore Series 200 90 lb. Cold Press Watercolor Paper.
- Tape the pieces together with a piece of washi tape.
- Now you trace either with a light box or a bright window. I have an Artograph LightTracer Light Box.

Hi my creative friends! Another month has rolled around and a new Paper Funday Challenge has begun for July. These challenges go live on the first Weds. of the month. The sponsor I choose this month was Dr. Digi!
If you love fun, quirky images Dr. Digi's is the store for you. It states that they are mainly aimed at creating masculine cards, yet for me there seemed to be many many images for anyone. You really need to check out these digital stamps, they will give you a good belly laugh! The image I choose just spoke to me as we are a pet loving family.
For card #1, I printed this image called Patient Pets onto Ranger Watercolor Paper with my Brother Laser printer and watercolored with a mixture of Zig Clean Color Real Brush Markers and Altenew Watercolors. For card #2, I created a no line watercolor version and watercolored with Distress Ink mini cubes.
How do you obtain the image for a no line watercolor?
I like to use a Blick Studio Drawing Pencil - HB for lightly tracing the design. A kneaded eraser is helpful to lighten the pencil lines if you get too heavy handed. The no line coloring method works for designs that aren't too fussy and have a lot of open space.
With the no line watercoloring you have to create the lines with dark shadows. It is a work in process for me, but it's always good to stretch your creativity!
The sentiment on the fronts for Card #1 is from a retired MFT set called Grateful For You and for Card #2 from Penny Black Gentle Thoughts stamp set.
Fun inside sentiment for both cards from a retired Paper Smooches set called Fun & Flirty.
Thank you for joining me at Paper Funday Challenge this month and thank you to Dr. Digi for the inspirational design.

Welcome
I am a wife of 48 years married to my best friend, Mike. He has always been my biggest supporter. We have 3 beautiful daughters and 2 wonderful grandchildren. Also, I am a college graduate, still working full time, and trying to squeeze in every crafting moment possible. Working with my hands, whether it is papercrafting, stamping, painting, cross-stitching, zentangling or quilting - brings joy to my life. I love color in all its various forms.
