Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree!

Hello and welcome to a quick post for this Labor Day weekend. I was working with my Hero Art's My Monthly Hero Kit from October 2019 and made another vintage style CAS card. And the kit is still available!

I stamped the images on Ranger Watercolor Paper with Altenew's Obsidian Black Ink, sprinkled with Altenew's Crisp Clear Embossing Powder while still wet and then heat set. Next I watercolored the images using my Silver Black Velvet Watercolor Brushes and Daniel Smith Dot Watercolor Palette.

Once dry, I cut the images out with the coordinating dies that come in the kit. The sentiment was white heat embossed onto black cardstock and I fussy cut it to fit the card's theme.

The "rockin" part was created with CAS-UAL Fridays Stamps Stencil called Swirls. I used some Brutus Monroe Glitter Glaze called Fallen Snow through the stencil with a palette knife. It dries quickly and has a beautiful glittery finish. Trying to capture it in the pictures, not too successfully!

In real life it is a sparkly fun swirl for "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree"! Lastly I added some Nuvo Glaze Crystal Clear on the ornaments for some depth and shine.
