Hi all! Today I have a sparkly Easter card to share with you and 3 challenges:
Not 2 Shabby February Monthly Challenge with a mood board. I was inspired by the Easter image in the top right corner:
And NBUS Challenge #35 (Never Before Used Schtuff) since I have never used the MFT Stamp and coordinating die set before called BB Spring Gnomes.
Here they are: I fell in love with these images:
I usually buy the coordinating die if I can, even though I have a Scan 'n Cut. I like the inside bits to be cut out, too and I don't know if the Scan 'N Cut will do that (look at the basket and the flower). If you are reading this and know how that works, let me know!
Although hard to see in the pictures, I started with A Colorful Life Designs stencil called Bunny Garden:Using Brutus Monroe's Glitter Glaze - Fallen Snow (love this stuff - I am on my 2nd jar!) and Thermo O Web Stencil Pal I applied a thin layer through the stencil. Just be sure to clean your tools right away!
I colored the images with various alcohol markers and die cut with the coordinating Die-Namics. To keep with the sketch challenge, I popped them up on 3 stitched die cut rectangles with a strip of silver glitter cardstock behind them.
Here I tried to show you the wonderful sparkle in the background, but the pictures are not as good as reality.
The sentiments are from retired sets I have in my stash, also NBUS.
Thank you for visiting and thanks to the challenges for inspiring creativity!

Welcome
I am a wife of 48 years married to my best friend, Mike. He has always been my biggest supporter. We have 3 beautiful daughters and 2 wonderful grandchildren. Also, I am a college graduate, still working full time, and trying to squeeze in every crafting moment possible. Working with my hands, whether it is papercrafting, stamping, painting, cross-stitching, zentangling or quilting - brings joy to my life. I love color in all its various forms.

Love the bright images, and the stenciled background is amazing - subtle, but still adds so much sparkle and shine! Thanks for joining us at Make the Cards Challenge!
ReplyDeleteThank you Melanie! Great sketch❤️
DeleteOh, good heavens, this card is so cute! The stamp set, the stencil, your coloring and design... I love it all! I also love when a die cuts the inside parts. I saw your card at NBUS and so glad I did. What a delight!
ReplyDeleteWhat nice comments, Leslie. Thanks so much❤️
DeleteAnita your sparkly background is lovely! And the images are just right for this card. Thanks so much for playing along over at Not 2 Shabby!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Teresa!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute card, love your sparkly background. I am the same with the dies.....I still purchase them when they are available. I mostly use my SNC for those images that do not have dies available. Thanks for playing with us at Make the Cards Challenge!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Allisa! Nice to know I am not alone in my thoughts about the SNC.
DeleteAdorable. Love the sparkle, it was the first thing I noticed, and the images are beautifully coloured. Thank you for sharing with us at NBUS.
