I did a quick watercolor with my Daniel Smith 238 Dot Set - it is great to have all the color choices! I always like to have the coordinating die - look how it cut out between the images - for I find it hard to do any other way. Also, the little shells that come with the set make for fun embellishments, too!

Memorial Day is fast approaching and I have a couple more posts for A Colorful Life Designs as one of their Guest Designers for May 2022. If you haven't been following my posts, A Colorful Life Designs is a woman owned company out of Dallas, Texas. Mary Kay, the owner, designs and creates the amazing array of unique and innovative stencils she has for sale. If you'd like to shop and pick up a few stencils, just click on the links in blue and you can save 10% with my discount code on your entire order: AnitaFan10.
This stencil (Picture from Mary Kay's website) is called Messy Diamond Grid:
If you love Mixed Media like I do this stencil is a keeper! I want to use it with paste and gels for an art journal and a canvas for home decor for future projects. For this card I used Ranger's Distress Ink Prize Ribbon with the stencil over a panel of Bristol Smooth Paper. I tried to keep the color really dark in the middle and fade out to the edges.
We are a dog loving family, so I am always are drawn to good dog stamps and dies. These cuties are from Newton's Nook called Beach Barks & Beach Barks Die Set. Stamped with Altenew's Obsidian Black Pigment Ink onto Ranger's Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor Paper. I almost always use this paper through my laser printer for digital stamp and have lots of scraps left over. They are perfect for stamped images. I did use Altenew's Crisp Clear Embossing Powder quickly once stamped for that nice glossy appearance.I did a quick watercolor with my Daniel Smith 238 Dot Set - it is great to have all the color choices! The sentiment, Chill Vibes, is from Ellen Hutson Stay Cool by Julie Ebersole set.
So I hope you all have a "chill" summer and check out the links for these fun fun products!

Welcome
I am a wife of 48 years married to my best friend, Mike. He has always been my biggest supporter. We have 3 beautiful daughters and 2 wonderful grandchildren. Also, I am a college graduate, still working full time, and trying to squeeze in every crafting moment possible. Working with my hands, whether it is papercrafting, stamping, painting, cross-stitching, zentangling or quilting - brings joy to my life. I love color in all its various forms.
