Split Sprigs with ACLD

Hello friends and Happy Mother’s Day to all!
Welcome to another post for A Colorful Life Designs (ACLD) as a May 2022 Guest Designer. Honestly, creating with the stencils designed by Mary Kay of ACLD is so easy and the ideas just keep flowing...
Here is today's star: the stencil called Split Sprigs. You receive both positive and negative of the stencil, so lots of creative options:
For the green card, I started with Bristol Smooth cardstock from Blick Art. This cardstock not only ink blends beautifully, but has a cream color which pairs perfectly with white. The blue card is white cardstock from my stash - I do prefer Hero Arts Dove White cardstock for it is 100 lb. - not too flimsy and not too heavy.
To ensure the delicate leaf branches stayed completely flat, I did use Pixie Spray on the stencil first. The green card was ink blended with Distress Ink colors: Bundled Sage and Peeled Paint. The blue card was Distress Ink Prize Ribbon. I tried to do a darker to lighter fading.
I knew I wanted to add florals to the branches and originally I was thinking of red, white  and blue, but then I saw a scarf I had in my closet...I thought perfect - red and pale blue! You never know from where you will find inspiration.
I used previously watercolored bits and bobs in my stash with various flower dies from both Spellbinders' Build a Spring Birdhouse and Sizzix's Thinlets - Flowers in an Umbrella to die cut the flowers and bird.
Lots of fun flowers in this set of Thinlets:

Love the little bird, too!
The sentiments are from the Paper Rose - Mother's Day quotes:
A few small enamel dots for the flower centers and we are all set!
I will be submitting my cards to:
My inspiration: Mother and Florals

and:
NBUS - new Stencil and dies for me:
Thank you for sticking to the end and don't forget to check out A Colorful Life Designs' stencils...you'll love them!
