The Mad Hatter

Hi friends! It's September and our generous sponsor this month for Paper Dragonfly Creative Challenges is Patty's Creations....I choose her Pocket Watch digital image. 

When I saw the pocket watch my first thought was the White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland and I knew I wanted to make an Art Journal page with an the Alice in Wonderland theme.

When I saw this quote from The Mad Hatter, I knew that was how I wanted to design the page! Used Mixed Media Paper, as usual, and lots of Ranger's Distress Sprays. I have this dragonfly stencil from my stash and I layered some paste through it here and there.

I ordered the charms from MamaFoxStudio's Etsy Shop and they are just beautiful If you need charms, I really recommend this shop!

I put a nice thick layer of Glossy Accents over the watch so that it looked like a real watch face.

So many fun techniques when making an Art Journal page. I don't keep track, but just keep playing and layering until I am happy. Hope you've enjoyed my page and come play along at our challenge this month. We'd love to see your work!
