It's February 2023 and time for a new challenge at Paper Funday! Our generous sponsors this month are Newton's Nook and QKR Stampede. The image I choose to work with is Dancing Pencil from QKR Stampede!
Did you ever see such a cute image?! I just loved It. I made 2 cards and a matching envelope. The joy of a digital stamp is that you can resize, twist, turn and move any which way you want!
I printed the 2 cards on watercolor paper from Distress Ink Tim Holtz Watercolor Paper using a laser printer. I used Daniel Smith's 238 Dot Watercolor cards for the coloring. As I always leave a lot of white when I paint, the picture of this one below looks odd, but it is pretty smooth in real life.
The pretty border on each card is from Penny Black' s Semi-Circle Stackers. I love a die cut edge. The sentiment is from a retired Sugar Pea Designs stamp called Jukebox Jive.
Always fun to create a matching envelope! It took a couple of tries printing on regular copy paper until I was able to place the image where it looked like the pencil was writing the address. Once I settled on the design I printed on an 80lb. white card stock with an inkjet printer. To make the envelope I used the We R Memory Keepers Envelope Punch Board. I've had it for years and it's great for any odd size envelope that is needed.
I left it flat while I colored the image with my new OLO Markers. These new markers have so many great features (better than copics)...I'll link to a YouTube by Nichol Spohr where her guest designer works for OLO Markers (there is also a discount code listed in the You Tube). I bought a sampling of colors to try and they really color beautifully and I am so happy to only have the nib I use (watch the YouTube!).Thanks for joining me today and come to The Paper Funday Challenge and submit some of your wonderful work - remember, Anything Goes. And thank you to our sponsors. We appreciate you!
This is a fun image and your cards are so cute! I'm needing to start replacing markers so I mau have to check out OLO..I've hear some great things about them. Thanks so much for another wonderful team project for The Paper Funday Challenge!
