Greetings all! And welcome to my Guest Designer Post for Penny Black's Saturday Challenge. I love Penny Black products and find them very creative and versatile! The challenge for this month is Masculine, but as always, also, "Anything Goes". For my cards I was inspired by the Jill Foster and Penny Black You tube Channel.
I had recently purchased the Immense Enjoyment Die and really wanted to stripe it up! I have the 3 piece Slim Stripes Die Set from PinkFresh Studio and quickly cut blues, lime green and white stipes from my cardstock stash. I like the nice die cut edge each stripe has. I wanted that clean-cut nautical look. Very preppy!
With a good supply of paper strips cut (of course you could cut with your paper trimmer) I used a piece of copy paper and just laid stripes of roller adhesive on it. Then it is just a matter of putting down your cut stripes in a manner that is pleasing to you.
Then simply cut out the Immense Enjoyment Die where you'd like the colors to be. I always use my Sizzix -Big Shot Die Cutting Machine. I have had 2 over about 40 years and they have never let me down. They are the OG of die cutting machine!
I made 2 cards for this post using the following products:
1) Penny Black Friendship Stamp - stamped and fussy cut the cut doggies!
2) Penny Black Immense Enjoyment (the die for the word "Enjoy");
3) Penny Black Textural Creative Die - the cool design at the bottom of the cards;
4) Penny Black Enjoy Builder Stamp Set - all the sentiments shown.
5) PinkFresh Studio Slim Stripes Dies - stripes of cardstock to build the paper for die cutting the word "Enjoy";
6) Gina K. Designs 100 lb. Card Stock for the bases. My prefer card stock weight. Not too thick to fold, doesn't crack, and sturdy!
7) OLO Markers for coloring the images. These are great markers for coloring!
For this card I used all the same products. The base is from Gina K. Designs Turquoise Sea 100 lb. card stock. This little guy is "Bennett" my daughter's Laborador! He is actually a chocolate lab as in the card above, but in this card he is grey!
Clean and Simple but has lots in interest!
Here is the cute cute Friendship stamp from Penny Black:
Here's a close up of Bennett:
Lastly, here are another couple of cards I made with Penny Black's Friendship Stamp back in 2021 for The Card Concept Challenge:
Fun, fun products and as you can see can be used in may different ways. If you haven't tried Penny Black stamps and dies, give it a try and let's see your creativity on the Penny Black Saturday Challenge.
